RATIONALE:

This course has demanded its learners to become more engaged in intelligent classroom planning, meaningful assessment, and the intentional and well-thought out use of classroom resources. I have included the following two examples of what I have learned to demonstrate that my practice as a teacher is becoming more professional and more intentional and pedagogically-meaningful. I included a list of useful technologies in the classroom to demonstrate how technology can be integrated when the learning is at the forefront and the matching technology follows. We, as educators, must plan the technology around learning rather than learning around the newest technologies. To compliment this list, I have also included a culminating activity that uses video technology to engage students to demonstrate their learning of questioning in French as well as exploring those who influenced the history of southern Ontario in the 1700s. Both these resources demonstrate what a professional practice can look like.
